Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Ruhi urges Daksh to address Armaan as ‘papa’ instead of Rohit

In tonight’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode, Ruhi tries slipping on a pair of bangles but quickly realises they don’t fit and get stuck. Feeling silly, she scolds herself for even attempting to wear them despite knowing they’re too tight. As she struggles, Ruhi recalls Abhira’s words—that she deserves happiness. Just then, Armaan and Daksh notice her in distress. Armaan comments that Abhira would have helped her without a second thought. While trying to assist, Armaan accidentally ends up putting the bangles on Ruhi himself.

Ruhi then questions Armaan about his recent public support for her. In response, he opens up about a promise he made to Rohit—to ensure her happiness. He reassures her that she and Daksh will never be alone, no matter what. As Ruhi recalls how not just Rohit and Abhira, but now even Armaan have said she deserves to be happy, a wave of realisation hits her. She had once questioned whether her feelings for Armaan were misplaced, but now she thinks—can all three of them really be wrong? She finds herself acknowledging how effortlessly Armaan is reintroducing joy and brightness into her life.

She reflects on how Rohit had entrusted both her and Daksh’s future to Armaan and how Armaan, in return, has wholeheartedly accepted that responsibility. This makes her think deeply about the burden of loneliness, it feels like a punishment. But she and Daksh haven’t committed any wrong, so why should they have to suffer in isolation?

With her heart full of longing and hope, Ruhi feels she truly deserves a genuine partner in life. At this moment, she realises that her companion is none other than Armaan.

Meanwhile, Kiara advises Samrat to make Abhir feel jealous. However, Samrat casually remarks that Abhir doesn’t seem affected by anything. Not backing down, Kiara goes a step further—she pays Samrat to stage a fake date with her in order to provoke Abhir. Amused by the scheme, Samrat thinks to himself how easy it is to manipulate girls.

Elsewhere, Abhira approaches Vidya. Vidya questions what Abhira would do if Kaveri’s prediction comes true—what if Pookie ends up loving Ruhi more? With calm confidence, Abhira assures her that Pookie will be loved by both of them like two mothers. But she makes one thing clear she’s willing to share everything with Ruhi—except Armaan.

Back with Ruhi, she continues receiving support from Armaan and feels reassured by his constant presence. To her, he’s the only one who genuinely looks out for her.

In another part of the house, Abhira overhears Krish pleading with Sanjay to help him, saying he doesn’t want to land in jail. Later, during a festive celebration, Manish invites everyone to join in the dance. Initially, Abhira hesitates, pointing out that even Ruhi isn’t dancing. Armaan encourages her, and eventually, Abhira joins in with Kiara, Vidya, and Manisha.

Charu tries to get Ruhi to join the dance, but Ruhi gently refuses. Deep inside, she makes a silent promise to herself she’ll only dance if it’s with Armaan. When Armaan eventually extends his hand towards her, Ruhi can’t help but smile and step forward to accept it. Abhira also joins them, while Ruhi remains completely lost in the presence of Armaan.

Both Armaan and Abhira try to encourage her to dance, creating a light and joyful mood. Soon after, Aryan steps in and invites Abhira to join a different group, taking her away to dance elsewhere. Ruhi, meanwhile, feels a sense of peace settle within her, having Armaan next to her feels right. She reflects on how life may have broken her in the past, but with Armaan’s unwavering support, she’s confident she’ll heal in time. She silently makes a promise to herself that she’ll never let go of him.

As the music continues, Armaan notices that Ruhi is still holding onto his hand. Concerned, he softly asks if she’s feeling unwell or weak. Ruhi reassures him with a calm “no,” and meets his gaze with a quiet intensity.

Later, Abhira tries to discuss Krish’s situation with Armaan, but he is in a romantic mood. At the same time, Ruhi gently holds up Armaan’s photo and starts guiding Daksh to start calling him “papa.” She encourages him to concentrate so he can say the word clearly. Ruhi fondly speaks about how Armaan has always stood by them, adding that he once gave his word to never leave their side—something she believes is a true reflection of a father’s responsibility.

She goes on to express how deeply Armaan cares for Daksh and wonders Daksh also feels a fatherly connection with Armaan. Urging him sweetly, she requests him to try saying “papa.” When Daksh remains silent and doesn’t respond, Ruhi becomes determined. Her resolve strengthens, and she insists that no matter what, she’ll make sure Daksh calls Armaan “papa” with his own lips. Later, when Ruhi notices Armaan and Abhira getting close, she intervenes again, directing Abhira to take care of Daksh.

Abhira finally gets a moment to inform Armaan that Krish is facing serious trouble. The following day, Ruhi asks Armaan to take her and Daksh to the toy store and claims she can manage both Daksh and Pookie on her own. Armaan gently reminds her that he and Abhira will handle everything together, advising her not to stress. His words spark a flicker of jealousy in Ruhi.

At the office, the police arrive looking for Krish. Sanjay quickly lies, telling them Krish has left the country. Determined to uncover the truth, Abhira begins investigating. She hears Krish pleading with Sanjay once again, begging him to protect him from going to jail. When Abhira tries to call Armaan, Ruhi deliberately disconnects the call.
