In Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, after staying away from each other for seven long years, without even knowing about each other’s whereabouts, Armaan and Abhira have finally come face-to-face in the current track.
All this time, Abhira had held on to one hope, that Armaan would return to her someday and that she would find her daughter, with little Pookie becoming a part of their lives again. However, her world shatters when she sees Armaan proposing to Geetanjali, leaving her heartbroken.
Abhira gives Armaan the divorce papers, believing that their relationship cannot be fixed anymore. Armaan, though deeply hurt, also signs the papers, prioritising his daughter’s happiness above his own.
Even though he agrees to marry Geetanjali, Armaan later opens up to her and admits that they are marrying only for Maira’s sake. He also confesses that he is unable to love again, as his heart still belongs to someone from his past.
In the current storyline, fate brings Armaan and Abhira face-to-face once again when Armaan rushes to Udaipur after learning about Vidya’s eye condition. Vidya insists she will undergo surgery only after seeing Armaan, which leads him to visit Abhira’s house.
Though Armaan and Abhira come face-to-face, neither of them says a word. Abhira silently walks away and locks herself in a room, while Armaan meets the rest of the family.
In the upcoming episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Armaan’s reunion with the Poddar family turns into an emotional moment. While Kaveri remains stern and distant, the rest of the family breaks down in tears. Armaan quietly greets everyone and takes blessings from Kajal, Manisha, and Manoj. The three of them also become emotional and bless him with teary eyes.
The scene becomes more heartfelt when Armaan meets Vidya. Overcome with emotion, he falls at her feet and later the two share a warm hug, overwhelmed by the moment. Despite Kaveri’s clear disapproval, Armaan ends up staying at Abhira’s house. However, Abhira keeps her distance and continues to ignore him completely.
Later that night, Kaveri tells Vidya that it’s quite late and they should get some rest. With Kaveri’s help, Vidya stands and prepares to head to her room. Meanwhile, Armaan, still worried about Abhira, steps in and expresses concern over her not returning home yet. He softly asks if she’s okay. This upsets Kaveri, who angrily questions why he’s even asking.
Armaan gently asks if Abhira usually comes home this late. But Kaveri reminds him that he left the entire family seven years ago and now has no right to ask about Abhira. This leaves Armaan shocked and hurt. Kaveri then walks away with Vidya, leaving Armaan behind feeling worried and helpless.
Later, unable to shake off his concern, Armaan opens the door and finds Abhira sitting outside, busy with something. Seeing this, he starts to feel that she’s staying out late just to avoid facing him.
