Woman who trespassed into Salman Khan’s house sent to 14-day judicial custody

A 36-year-old woman who attempted to trespass into Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai has been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody, officials confirmed on Friday.

The accused, identified as Isha Chabria, was produced before a Bandra court earlier in the day, which ordered her remand following her arrest for unlawfully entering Galaxy Apartments, where Salman Khan lives with his family.

Chabria, who claims to be a model, attempted to enter the premises around 3 am on May 21. During police interrogation, she alleged that she had been invited by the actor himself and even claimed to have met a member of Khan’s family after knocking on the door of his apartment. A police source told India Today that she insisted she knew Khan and had received a personal invitation to visit.

The police, however, have found no evidence supporting her claims. According to officials, Isha claimed that she lives in Khar and had met Salman Khan at a party six months ago. The actor’s family has categorically denied any connection to the woman or her claims.

Notably, the incident occurred just a day after a man, identified as Jitendra Kumar Singh, attempted to gain access to the same apartment complex on May 20, also in an effort to meet the Bollywood star.

A police officer stationed at Khan’s Galaxy Apartments first stopped the man around 9.45 am and asked him to leave. Instead, he created a scene — smashing his phone on the ground. Hours later, he returned in a car reportedly used by a resident of the building.

“I wanted to meet Salman Khan, but the police were not letting me meet him, so I was trying to hide,” the man told police.

Mumbai Police has registered two separate cases related to the back-to-back illegal trespassing incidents.
