NEW DELHI: After Baba Siddiqui, comedian Kapil Sharma has come on the radar of the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate for his alleged proximity to Salman Khan. Boxer, a fugitive from Rajasthan, is heard claiming that Sharma had called Khan on the inaugural episode of his Netflix show and thus needs to be taught a lesson. He threatened to “ruin the atmosphere of Mumbai” if those working with Khan didn’t mend their ways and said the gang would now use AK 47s against their targets.”If anyone works with Salman, whether a small-time actor or a small-time director, we will not spare them.

We will kill them. We will go to any extent necessary to kill them,” Boxer is heard saying. His real name is Harichand. He illegally entered the United States via the “Donkey Route” in 2024 and is currently operating from that country. On Thursday, a social media post surfaced in which Bishnoi and Goldy Brar’s close aide Goldy Dhillon claimed responsibility for the shooting incident. According to the post, Bishnoi’s men had called up Sharma but he apparently didn’t answer, forcing them to act. The post threatened that the next operation will be in Mumbai. Around 4.30am on Thursday, unidentified gunmen fired shots at Sharma’s restaurant in Surrey. Around 9-10 shots were fired at Kap’s Cafe, of which at least six hit its walls and windows. Nobody was injured in the incident. This was the second shooting at the cafe within a month. Earlier on July 9, shots were fired at Kap’s Cafe by a man who was wearing a body-camera and filming the shooting.

Germany-based Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist Harjeet Singh Laddi claimed responsibility for the attack. The Bishnoi gang has been after Khan for years now. Last year, they had fired shots at his Galaxy Apartment. Khan’s friend Siddique, former state minister, was shot dead in Bandra on Oct 12, 2024. Bishnoi men had even carried out a recce of Khan’s Panvel farmhouse to attack him, but the plan failed.
