WAVES 2025 Summit in Mumbai Highlights: The World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) kicked off today (May 1) at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, bringing together over 100 artists, investors, and policymakers from around the world to celebrate and shape the future of creativity. Inaugurating the summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called it a historic moment for India’s creative sector, urging global creators to “make India your content playground” and emphasising the nation’s cultural richness, storytelling legacy, and emerging orange economy.

With over 10,000 delegates, 1000 creators, 300 companies, 350 startups and leaders from over 90 countries under one roof, this summit is momentous. He announced the upcoming WAVES Awards, envisioned as the world’s biggest recognition in creativity, and underscored the importance of art, music, and human sensitivity in an increasingly tech-driven world. From honouring cinematic legends to empowering youth and global collaboration, WAVES 2025 sets the stage for India to lead the next wave of creative innovation.

PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the event, focusing on India’s digital future. Bollywood actor, Shah Rukh Khan shared insights on storytelling in the creator economy followed by YouTube CEO Neal Mohan who emphasised India’s role in global content. Mukesh Ambani, on the other hand, highlighted tech-driven economic transformation and feat of OTT platforms and envisioned a $100 billion media industry.

WAVES 2025 Guest-List

The Summit will have elusive attendees and personalities across industries. From super-stars to filmmakers, the WAVES 2025 summit is set to invite a star-studded guests for the entire 4-day event.

Icons like Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal, and Hema Malini, to Bollywood powerhouses such as Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Ekta Kapoor. Also expected are industry moguls like Bhushan Kumar, Namit Malhotra, SS Rajamouli, AR Rahman, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Allu Arjun, Mukesh and Nita Ambani, Shahid Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Atlee, Riteish Deshmukh, Zoya Akhtar, and Vijay Deverakonda. Global tech and entertainment leaders like Ted Sarandos (Co-CEO, Netflix), Neal Mohan (CEO, YouTube), and Adam Mosseri (Head, Instagram) are also on the list.

WAVES 2025 Summit Ticket Prices

The WAVES 2025 Summit is organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in the collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Under the aegis of the Create in India Challenge, the summit has various options for passes.

Business Visitor Pass: Priced at Rs 3000, this pass grants full access to exhibitions and sessions from 1 May to 4 May.

Public Visitor Pass: Available for Rs 99, it allows entry to designated public areas on 3 May and 4 May.

Student Pass: This permits students access to specific areas on May 3 and 4.

Media Pass: This pass is exclusively for accredited journalists.

Exhibitor Pass: This is provided based on booth size (1 pass per 3 sqm) and included in the Rs 30,000 exhibitor fee.
