Shubman Gill finally addresses dating rumours involving Sara Tendulkar: ‘I’ve been single for over three years’

Indian cricketer Shubman Gill has been making headlines for his personal life for quite some time now. The young Gujarat Titans (GT) captain has been constantly linked to dating rumours, with names like Sara Tendulkar and Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan popping up regularly.

However, Shubman has finally spoken about all the gossip and cleared the air once and for all. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, he said that he has been single for over three years and denounced the rumours as completely “ridiculous.”

“I mean, I’ve been single for over three years, and so many speculations and rumours link me with different people. Sometimes, it’s so ridiculous that I would have never even seen or met that person ever in my life,” Gill was quoted as saying.

“I know I’m so focused on what I need to do in my professional career. There is no space in my life to be with someone. We are travelling somewhere around 300 days a year, so there is hardly any time to be able to be with someone or invest the time needed for a relationship,” he added.

Shubman Gill’s recent achievements on the field

The 25-year-old recently won the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 for India. The Rohit Sharma-led side went on to lift the trophy without losing a single game. He was also part of the 2023 ODI World Cup team that reached the final undefeated but lost to Australia in the summit clash.

Gill is currently busy playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. He is captaining the Gujarat Titans for the second year in a row. GT are presently at the top of the IPL 2025 points table with 12 points in 8 matches.

Gill is also having a great time with the bat, scoring 305 runs in 8 innings at an average of 43.57 and a strike rate of 153.26. He has scored three fifties this season.
