On the occasion of Ranveer Singh’s birthday, the makers of Dhurandhar released the much-awaited teaser of the action-packed film — and it’s already blowing up the internet. Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar promises intense action, a dash of comedy, and a star-studded ensemble.
The teaser opens with a gripping back shot of Ranveer walking, accompanied by a powerful voice-over by R Madhavan. The buzz is strong: Singh’s rugged, blood-smeared avatar draws clear comparisons to Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, but he’s out to carve his own niche — quite literally, with firepower.
According to reports, Ranveer plays a spy in the film. The teaser features adrenaline-fueled action sequences, catchy Punjabi beats by Panjabi MC, and quick glimpses of the film’s powerhouse cast — Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, and R Madhavan — all donning intense, stylised looks that are winning the internet.
But what truly caught fans off guard is the unexpected Sunny Deol-style punchline. In a nod to the Bollywood icon, Ranveer is seen delivering the line: “Main Ghayal hoon isiliye Ghatak hoon” — a nostalgic throwback to Deol’s Ghayal and Ghatak era. With this reference, Ranveer taps into the 90s Bollywood action hero vibe with full force.
Actor Arjun Kapoor reacted to the teaser saying, “Beast mode on Panjabi MC + Aditya Dhar + Baba = Khatarnak combo !!! Cannot wait for 5th Dec.” Vikrant Massey added, “Ghaatak .”
With its stellar cast, intense visuals, and larger-than-life tone, Dhurandhar looks ready to take over the box office. The film is set to release on December 5.
