That’s it from our end for today. Do join us later today for the live coverage of the India vs England Test match in Leeds where Shubman Gill’s men are in a solid position.

That’s it! Neeraj is back to winning ways. After finishing second in the Doha Diamond League, he has finished on top in Paris! We like it this way.

The final round of throws is coming up. Neeraj Chopra (88.16m), Julian Weber (87.88m), Luiz da Silva (86.62m), Keshorn Walcott (81.66m) are the top four throwers after the first five attempts. The final attempt remains. Weber had surpassed Neeraj with his last throw at the Doha Diamond league.

Can Neeraj come up with a big one? His fifth throw is a foul too and only one attempt remains! He is still in the pole position to grab the top spot. Julian Weber is second while Da Silva is third.

Brazil’s Luiz Da Silva has climbed up to t he third spot with a personal best throw of 86.62m.

Neearj’s fourth throw is a foul too. Nothing much to write about Weber and Walcott either who come up with throws of 83.13m and a foul in their fourth attempts.

The third throw of Neeraj was a foul. But he still holds the lead due to that massive throw of 88.16m in his first attempt. Julian Weber comes up with an attempt of 82.03m in this round while Walcott throws 80.01m. Anderson Peters is fourth with an attempt of 80.29m

The second round of throws is on. Neeraj Chopra’s attempt is 85.10. but he still holds the top spot. Weber has improved and now his best throw is 86.20m. Walcott has also improved to 81.66m as his best attempt. Those three complete the top three spots as of now.

Neeraj Chopra has begun his quest with a bang. He begins the proceeding with a massive 88.16m throw. Germany’s Julian Weber is second with a throw of 87.88m while Trinidad and Tobago’s Keshorn Walcott is third with a throw of 80.94.

Neeraj and Weber are not the only ones who have breached the 90m mark. In the eight-man field at the Charlety Stadium on Friday, five have crossed the 90m mark. Chopra and Weber were the latest entrants to the exclusive club. Peters has already done it in 2022. Kenya’s 2015 world champion Julius Yego and Trinidad and Tobago’s 2012 Olympics gold-winner Keshorn Walcott are the other two in the 90m club. Both achieved the feat back in 2015 and since then their performances have declined.

Chopra is returning to the Paris Diamond League after a long time. The last time he competed in the Paris Diamond as a junior world champion and finished fifth with a throw of 84.67m. Chopra had skipped the Paris DL last year in order to focus on the Olympic Games where he took the silver with a throw of 89.45m.

Germany’s Julian Weber had upstaged Neeraj Chopra in the Doha leg on May 16 after the Indian superstar crossed the 90m mark. Weber had recorded 91.06m with his last throw to trump Chopra who had sent his spear to a distance of 90.23m in the same event.

It’s a star studded field in Paris today. In the eight-man field at the Charlety Stadium on Friday, five have crossed the 90m mark. Chopra, German ace Julian Weber and two-time world champion Anderson Peters of Grenada will be among eight competitors vying for top honours

Hello and welcome to the live coverage of the Paris Diamond league. India’s very own Neeraj Chopra will be in action with an aim to finish on top!
