Abhishek slammed a century in just 40 deliveries which was the third fastest by an Indian in IPL and fifth fastest overall. He added 171 for the opening wicket with Travis Head, the second-highest opening stand for SRH.

The 24-year-old hit 10 sixes in the innings which is the second-most by an Indian player in an IPL innings. The most sixes hit by an Indian player in an innings is 11, registered by Murali Vijay in a knock of 127 against Rajasthan Royals while playing for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2010.

The eight-wicket win over PBKS also helped the home team snap their five-match losing streak this season.

“It’s not easy for any player to go through that form. Special mention to the team and captain, very simple message to the batters although I was not doing well.
