GT vs CSK IPL 2025 Highlights: Dewald Brevis’ stunning late charge helped Chennai Super Kings post a target of 231 for the Gujarat Titans to chase and the latter were left reeling in the powerplay by Anshul Kamboj and Khaleel Ahmed. Kamboj dismissed captain Shubman Gill in his first over while Khaleel sent back Jos Buttler in the next, thus taking out two of GT’s high-performing top three inside the first first three overs of the innings. Kamboj then dismissed Sherfane Rutherford in the next. The early strikes pretty much made a victory for GT improbable and they ended up unable to even compete. CSK thus finished a rather forgettable season with a dominant 83-run win over GT.

Brevis earlier took GT by storm and continued on his good form by providing the CSK a big finish in the death overs. Brevis smashed 57 in 23 balls, racing past the fifty-run mark in just 19 balls, and CSK finished on 230/5 in 20 overs.
CSK managed to make the most of the powerplay for a change but Gujarat Titans chipped away steadily at them in the middle overs. Devon Conway notched up a half-century but fell to Rashid Khan the very next ball after raising the milestone.

Gujarat Titans: GT have the best chance to consolidate their position at the top. The top-two scenario is fairly straightforward for them: beat Chennai Super Kings, book a spot in Qualifier 1. A win against CSK in their last league game on Sunday will take the Shubman Gill’s side to 20 points, out of reach for all three remaining teams. Even if they lose to CSK, GT can still make it to top two provided that any one of MI, RCB or PBKS lost their last match.
Punjab Kings: Things are not simple for PBKS. They need to beat Mumbai first and hope either GT or RCB lost their last league game to book their berth in the Qualifier 1 match which will be played at their home ground in Mullanpur.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru: The qualification scenario for RCB is exactly the same as PBKS. They need to ensure they win against LSG and hope MI beats PBKS and CSK beats GT. They can afford it if one of GT and PBKS wins their last match, but not both, as this will take matters into NRR. The good thing in RCB’s favour is that they will play the last match of the league stage, so if it comes down to NRR, they will know their target against LSG.
Mumbai Indians: The Hardik Pandya side, who were the last to qualify for playoffs, have a slim chance of a top-two finish.
