Galaxy S25 Edge Spotted On Geekbench: What We Know About Phone’s Features And Price

Samsung’s upcoming smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Edge, was recently spotted on Geekbench, a popular smartphone performance benchmarking site, ahead of its expected launch.

According to a report by Xpertpick, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge scored 2,969 points in the single-core test and 9,486 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench. The platform uses a baseline score of 2,500, meaning anything above this threshold is considered strong performance. A score twice the baseline indicates double the performance, as per Geekbench’s rating system.

Upon launch, the Galaxy S25 Edge will join the existing Galaxy S25 lineup, which debuted during Samsung’s first Galaxy Unpacked event in January this year. The device is expected to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, promising faster performance and an enhanced user experience.

According to a report by Gadgets 360, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE was also featured on Geekbench.

The latest results show that the Galaxy S25 Edge offers similar performance to the standard Samsung Galaxy S25 model.

In line with the Galaxy S25 series, this new handset’s motherboard is codenamed “sun”, indicating that it will boast the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Additionally, the Gadgets 360 report confirms that it will come with 12GB of RAM.

Other leaked features of the model include its 8.3mm thickness design. The Galaxy S25 Edge is also likely to sport a vibrant 6.66-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

For durability, Samsung will pack the model in Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It is expected to support the Galaxy AI features, integrating different aspects of the phone’s software with artificial intelligence for enhanced performance and functionality.

Samsung is set to introduce the handset with Android 15-based One UI 7, for enhanced user interface.

The smartphone may come with a dual rear camera setup and a 3,900mAh battery, which is relatively smaller compared to other models in the same price range released this year. The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to launch in India as early as next month, with a likely price tag of around Rs 1 lakh.
