Ravichandran Ashwin providing platform for CSK’s bashing, head coach Stephen Fleming reacts to controversy

Stephen Fleming, the head coach of Chennai Super Kings, recently revealed that he was unaware of Ravichandran Ashwin‘s YouTube channel and mentioned that he doesn’t keep track of such things. His comments followed a wave of attention surrounding a video on Ashwin’s channel in which panellists criticized the Chennai franchise, for whom Ashwin plays.

This controversy came to light after CSK’s third consecutive defeat, a 25-run loss to Delhi Capitals at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, marking their second home loss of the season.

The issue stemmed from a video featuring Prasanna Agoram, also known as Pdogg, a former analyst for RCB and South African cricket. In the video, Pdogg questioned CSK’s decision to field Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad over experienced players like Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin. The video was subsequently removed, leading to speculation and curiosity among fans and the media.

“Honestly, I have no clue. I didn’t even know he had a channel, so I don’t keep track of that kind of stuff. It’s not important. You all are what truly matters,” Fleming remarked.

During the post-match press conference, Fleming initially struggled to understand the question regarding the video. However, he later clarified that he wasn’t particularly concerned about the situation.

This incident unfolded at a challenging time for CSK. With their victory, Delhi Capitals moved to the top of the points table, while Chennai found themselves under pressure.

Despite a steady knock of 77 from KL Rahul, DC’s star players like Devon Conway, Shivam Dube, and Ravindra Jadeja failed to make an impact, and MS Dhoni’s late cameo couldn’t turn the game in CSK’s favor.
