Biggest losers included Unitedhealth Group (NYSE: ), which rose 0.43% or 1.85 points to trade at 427.18 in late trade. Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: ) added 0.49% or 0.77 points to end at 157.69 and Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE: ) up 0.59% or 0.26 points to 43.19.
The top performers on the S&P 500 were Equifax Inc (NYSE: ) which rose 13.88% to 245.18, First Solar Inc (NASDAQ: ) which was up 10.55% to settle at 135.37 and Pentair PLC (NYSE: ) which gained 9.22% to close at 86.24.
The worst performers were Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: ) which was down 12.66% to 464.08 in late trade, Rtx Corp (NYSE: ) which lost 9.82% to settle at 113.74 and Halliburton Company (NYSE: ) which was down 5.57% to 20.70 at the close.
The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were Gelteq Ltd (NASDAQ: ) which rose 211.25% to 2.88, China SXT Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ: ) which was up 103.92% to settle at 2.08 and Tivic Health Systems Inc (NASDAQ: ) which gained 103.71% to close at 7.13.
The worst performers were Thunder Power Holdings Inc (OTC: ) which was down 70.53% to 0.01 in late trade, Jayud Global Logistics Ltd (NASDAQ: ) which lost 48.68% to settle at 0.10 and Ohmyhome Ltd (NASDAQ: ) which was down 39.44% to 2.18 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 2489 to 307 and 51 ended unchanged; on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 2708 rose and 601 declined, while 109 ended unchanged on the New York Stock Exchange.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.96% or 32.86 to $3,392.44 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.71% or 1.07 to hit $63.48 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 1.52% or 1.01 to trade at $67.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.81% to 1.14, while USD/JPY rose 0.50% to 141.56.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.70% at 98.73.
