Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly has taken a flying start in its home territory – Tamil Nadu. Despite being a working day, the movie is enjoying good viewership on the opening day.

Released in over 600 screens in Tamil Nadu, the response for the advance booking Good Bad Ugly had with great enthusiasm from Thala fans. The early trends indicate that the movie has earned over Rs 15 crore from presales in the state. From the rest of the country, it has made over Rs 3 crore.
As per the trends, the movie has earned over Rs 18 crore from the advance booking in the country.
The morning shows had 70+ occupancy centres in the key centres including Chennai. The business of the movie is expected to increase as the movie has opened to fairly positive reviews.

In Chennai, Good Bad Ugly is having over 1000 shows followed by Bengaluru (595), Coimbatore (Coimbatore), Madurai (200), Trichy (72 Shows), Tirunelveli (73 Shows), Trivandrum (63 Shows) and Kochi(48 Shows), as per Cinetrak.
Will Good Bad Ugly Break Vidaamuyarchi Record?
Ajith’s previous movie Vidaamuyarchi had made Rs 26 crore (nett) at the India box office. It has to be seen whether Thala’s latest film will break this record.
It has to be noted that Good Bad Ugly did not have special morning shows which is expected to have impacted its overall business in Tamil Nadu.
Ajith Kumar has teamed up with director Adhik Ravichandran, known for films like Trisha Illana Nayanthara and Mark Antony. With an ensemble cast featuring Trisha Krishnan, Prabhu, Arjun Das, Prasanna, Sunil, Usha Uthup, Rahul Dev, Raghu Ram, Yogi Babu, and Tinnu Anand, the film has generated significant buzz. The cinematography is handled by Abinandhan Ramanujam, music is scored by GV Prakash Kumar, and editing is done by Vijay Velukutty.
